As a landlord, you have a number of options for transferring electricity services to your name. The following options are available for your consideration.
- Always leave the meter connected. You will be billed for electricity service used between tenants (the power remains on between tenants).
- Leave the meter connected between tenants during the winter period (November 1st to April 30th). You will be billed for electricity service used between tenants (the power remains on between tenants).
- Leave the meter connected during the summer period (May 1st to October 31st). You will be billed for electricity service used between tenants (the power remains on between tenants).
- Always disconnect the meter between tenants. The power will be shut off between tenants.
- Automatically transfer tenant's electricity account into landlord's name if tenant's electricity service is being disconnected for non-payment.
