We're prepared for a strong winter storm
12/11/24 - 7 p.m. update
Our teams are prepared to respond to a strong winter storm that will impact our customers tonight. Wind speeds are forecasted to reach 50 miles per hour in some areas and significant tree damage could occur.
With the storm's expected arrival, nearly 500 line and tree crews are being pre-staged in communities across our service area. Immediately after any storm, CMP crews work in partnership with local emergency management agencies to make dangerous situations safe - including deenergizing power lines on the ground and clearing roads blocked by trees. If you see emergency crews working roadside, please give them plenty of room.

How we restore power: Our first priority is your safety. In the case of a large interruption, we work with local emergency management teams to open roads for emergency vehicles, then we repair the main facilities (transmission lines, substations) that bring electricity to your neighborhood.
