AVANGRID and Central Maine Power Employees Help Make a Global Impact

Volunteer Day and Other Activities Offer an Opportunity to Make a Difference at Global and Local Levels
Volunteers from AVANGRID and CMP gear up for farm chores at the Society for the Protection of Animals in Windham.
AUGUSTA, Maine, October 7, 2017 Employees with Central Maine Power and Avangrid, Inc. (NYSE:AGR), a diversified energy and utility company, spent part of their weekend performing service for local non-profit organizations. Employees did farm chores at the Maine Society for the Protection of Animals in Windham, landscaping at Vaughan Woods and Historic Homestead in Hallowell, and a variety of tasks for the Dempsey Challenge in Lewiston.
The events were organized by CMP and AVANGRID in partnership with majority shareowner Iberdrola Group.
In the United States, some 220 employees of AVANGRID and its companies participated in about 20 volunteer activities. The employees picked up trash in parks, stocked food bank shelves, worked on farms, landscaped, painted, cleaned and more in locations from Portland, Oregon to Windham, Maine. AVANGRID is a diversified U.S. energy and utility company based in Orange, Connecticut.
Iberdrola oversaw similar Volunteer Day efforts globally, with hundreds of employees expected to participate in countries where the corporation and its affiliates have operations, including Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Brazil. The goal of the annual event, now in its 11th year, is to harness employees community spirit in support of projects that align with the corporation's values.
