Lineworker Delivers $5,000 CMP Donation to ‘Kevin on the Roof’

Donation continues years-long partnership between CMP and PSL Services/STRIVE

Augusta, ME — September 10, 2024 – With PSL Services/STRIVE’s annual “Kevin on the Roof” fundraiser concluding today, Central Maine Power (CMP) is celebrating continuing its tradition of donating to this cause in a unique way.

On Friday, September 6, CMP dispatched one of its lineworkers and a bucket truck from its Alfred division to Patriot Subaru in Saco to hand deliver the $5,000 donation to Kevin Fitzpatrick, STRIVE’s STRIVE U Program Director, as part of this year’s effort to raise $80,000 for STRIVE.

PSL Services/STRIVE offers more than 15 different programs dedicated to supporting tweens, teenagers and young adults with emotional, intellectual and developmental disabilities. These programs provide opportunities for participants to become as independent as possible.

“Thank you CMP for your ongoing support and tremendous generosity for STRIVE,” said Fitzpatrick. “CMP gives back to the communities they serve as a true partner and corporate citizen. My family and I would also like to thank you for the safety harness donated years ago on top of all else. It certainly helps keep me safe while up on the roof and I wear it with pride. Thank you!”

“CMP has donated annually to STRIVE during this fundraiser for the past several years and there’s no better way to highlight the service and energy we bring to Maine communities every day than having one of our lineworkers make this handoff right to Kevin,” said Amy Marston, Director of Community Relations for CMP.
